For the cover of my magazine, I expanded my picture so that the picture takes up the whole frame of the magazine on the front page. I also changed the font of the main title and subtitle in the top center of the cover, as well as the color of the words. I decided to use white text instead of black because the black text blended into the surroundings in the picture and it was hard to read. I also rearranged a few textbooks so that it would be able to see what the text says better.  For the Table Of Contents, the only thing I changed was the size of the pictures on the right size to make them all even and proportional to each other, as well as adding a page number to the bottom of the page. For my 2 page article, I changed my article to be in 2 columns so that it would look more organized, I also added page numbers to the bottom of the pages.

I was a little bit overwhelmed when trying to convert my 2 page article into InDesign because there were a lot of steps and it was kind of confusing. I was not familiar with InDesign before the start of class. I think there is a high possibility of me using InDesign for my revisions in 3rd quarter I just have to get more used to the program. If not I enjoy Publisher and I feel more comfortable with editing on there.

My target audience for my magazine are for both families or just individual people who enjoy cooking or just looking around for places to eat in Sarasota. "Taste of Sarasota" can attract any age or  gender. My product appeals to smaller audiences rather than the magazines that I have researched about. My magazine appeals to people who want to cook delicious meals at home, for family events, etc. or even for people who want to explore around Sarasota to find new, good places to eat.

Due to the comments I got back on my magazine, I have a few small errors and things I want to fix in my magazine so I can perfect it and make it even better than how it was before. I will be revising the main title to my article on the front page and make it more unique, because the font I have right now, as well as the color gradient within it, is a very popular choice to make as a title and I want my magazine to be unique and different compared to others. I also have to move the subtitle to a place on the picture in the background of the cover page, to a place where it can be easily read where the black text does not go on top of a dark background. For my table of contents, I plan on fixing the size of the pictures on the side to line up all together in one straight line. Also, I would like to change a few of the pictures on that table of contents page so that the restraints shown on the contents will line up with a picture of the restaurant beside the name of the restaurant. My product uses some conventions from the Goodfood magazine. For example, I positioned the main title “Taste if Sarasota” in the very center top of the magazine. I also located the subtitle underneath the main title stating the edition of the magazine which is the “Seafood Edition”. I compete against other food magazines because in the “Taste of Sarasota” magazine it provides information about different restaurants in Sarasota and different recipes within the restaurants. My magazine provides not only recipes and food entrees and appetizers but also information on popular restaurants around Sarasota so it could also be directed towards tourists that want to visit Sarasota. This magazine attracts people who enjoy cooking and want new recipes to cook at home or for special events, as well as tourists who want a bite to eat around Sarasota and have multiple different choices of restaurants to choose from.
